Sofia Iudina. How to become a champion on the floor and in life

Professional sports is a difficult discipline that requires diligence, regularity, physical health, and patience. Only some people can become a real athlete. After years of training, overcoming oneself and one's fears, and professional injuries, athletes sacrifice many things for the sake of their dreams. Still, to get on the podium, you must believe in yourself and your strength. Sofia Iudina, a dancer and choreographer, knows firsthand what it is to work on yourself daily to make feats on the floor and become the best version of yourself.

Talented athlete Sofia Iudina came to ballroom dancing at the age of seven. Initially, the girl perceived dancing as a hobby, but gradually, the dancing world fascinated the young dancer. In the seventh grade, Sofia switched to independent training to devote all her time to this elegant sport. Daily, many hours of training in the hall, honing technique and plasticity, constant work with a partner, and working with the mental component have developed their recognizable style of champion Sofia Iudina. Today, she is the winner and medalist of many international competitions, including California Open DanceSport Championships in Mesa, City Light Ball in San Jose, WDC AL European Championships, Open to the World Dance Festival WDC Crystal Ball, and many others.

According to Sofia Iudina, you need to find strength and inspiration in everything around you. Theater productions, music, fashion industry - everywhere you can draw energy. In addition to strong muscles and flexibility, you need to pump yourself up aesthetically. Dancer and choreographer Sofia Iudina believes that the most important aspect of sports ballroom dancing is the ability to listen to music and interpret its meaning through movements. Different moods and perceptions of the dance are created thanks to the musical component. Also, faseling plays a very important role. After all, the dancer on the floor is an athlete and an actor. A wave of hands, a smile, gestures, and emotions on the face - so that the audience falls in love with the dance couple, it is necessary to show through the dance life and their feelings. Dancers can play roles - from a passionate dance in love to a tender and romantic dance. Emotions are conveyed to the viewer through the eyes, facial expressions, and plasticity. And, of course, the image and style of the dancer need a look - if we talk about show programs, the important details are the stylish looks of athletes, hairstyles, and outfits. Therefore, we can safely say that costumes and accessories are important elements that can express the meaning of the dance production.

Sofia Iudina always speaks about her partners with great respect. Ballroom dancing is a couple's direction, so it is very important to feel the partner, be able to adjust, find a common language, represent the whole on the floor, and support each other in all performances. Since the beginning of 2020, Sofia has been paired with Bohdan Dovhalov, and thanks to their united work, rehearsals, and mutual understanding, the couple continues to become champions in the biggest competitions in the world.

In addition to her professional activity on the floor as a dancer, Sofia Iudina teaches dance. She has experience working with older people - Sofia has worked with Moscow Longevity, where she gave dance lessons to the adult generation. Now, she is an instructor in the studio of the largest and most famous dance network, Arthur Murray, in New Jersey. Sofia Iudina, a dancer and champion herself, is sure that you can start dancing at any age and with any physical preparation. Dancing gives a feeling of lightness and youth, prolongs life, filling it with emotions and small victories over yourself. There are Pro-Am tournaments for dance lovers, where a student can couple up with his teacher and compete for prizes. "Dance is life! Dancing!" believes the talented athlete and choreographer Sofia Iudina, who proves by her example that everything in this life can be achieved through hard work, self-improvement, and faith in one's strength.
